U.S. Spy Satellite On Collision Course With Earth

Washington (dbTechno) - U.S. officials have come out and stated that an American spy satellite, which is no longer functional, is on a collision course with Earth and will likely hit our planet by the end of February.

U.S. government officials are watching the U.S. spy satellite very closely as they try to predict the trajectory of it and where it will land. As of right now it is completely unknown where the satellite is going to hit in the U.S., or outside of the U.S.

National Security Council spokesman Godron Johndroe stated “government agencies are monitoring the situation. Numerous satellites over the years have come out of orbit and fallen harmlessly. We are looking at potential options to mitigate any possible damages this satellite may cause.”

The U.S. spy satellite in question is believed to be an experimental imagery satellite which was launched back in December 2006.

It launched from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

Once the satellite made its way into orbit, all communication was lost with it.

Officials have admitted that they have absolutely no way to control the trajectory of the satellite meaning that the chance is there that it would go through Earth’s atmosphere and land in a remote location, or a highly populated location.

With no control over where it will land and where the debris will go, all they can do now is wait and watch it closely. It has been stated that if it explodes coming through the atmosphere it will likely be able to be seen by the naked eye.

“A Rough in the Diamond”

Diamonds are symbols of wealth, power and luxury. But in Africa, these diamonds cost more than money – they cost lives.

Blood diamonds are gems implicated, through the manner in which they are mined, in serious human rights abuses, child labor and environmental destruction.

50,000 have people died and 20,000 men, women and children have lost limbs to machete-wielding rebels who have seized control of Sierra Leone’s diamond mines. At the same time, 46 percent of Angolan miners are under age 16.

The human rights violations are not only the result of strife in Africa, but also the lack of efforts to halt the trade in these diamonds. A 2004 Amnesty International survey found that only 11 percent of U.S. jewelers had a policy on blood diamonds.

Make informed choices about everything you buy and you can make a real difference.

Let your adornment be the inner self with the lasting beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. (1 Peter 3:4)

Help us stand up for what is right in what we say, do and buy, Holy Spirit.

Wallis proposes Seven Principals and Rules of Engagement for Christian political involvement in the world:

1. God hates injustice.
2. The kingdom of God is a new order.
3. The church is an alternative community
4. The kingdom of God transforms the world by addressing the specifics of injustice.
5. The church is the conscience of the state, holding it accountable for upholding justice and restraining its violence.
6. Take a global perspective.
7. Seek the common good.

All seven points are well and good; I wish Jim luck and pray he does indeed arouse the sleeping Christians since the western institutions have failed at its commission. Too many churches in the USA have become places to socialize and be entertained; to be patted on the back just for doing the minimum of what is required if one claims to be a Christian; and churches have become businesses that maintain the status quo, rather than spread the social gospel.
